Matt Smith’s Newest Video

My good friend and tocallo (Spanish for namesake) Matt Smith recently posted a powerful videon on Youtube.  For anyone looking for an entry point to the oft-confusing world of immigration legislation and the current border wall proposed as its solution, this is 4 minutes and 7 seconds well spent.  Keep up the great work down in Brownsville, Matt!

    That’s not a Spanish word, tocayo. It comes from the Nahuatl (language of the Aztecs + others) word ‘tocaitl’ for ‘name.’ Hence it’s a Mexican expression. http://li.wiktionary.org/wiki/tocaitl Anyway it’s great work you’re doing, please keep it up.

    Thank you, Matthew, for all you have done to raise awareness on the problems that have an effect on all who live here in the Rio Grande Valley and all parts North, South, East and West. We are brothers and sisters. Siblings in such a huge family should look after one another. If we don’t do that we have no worth.
